Access Information from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport


By Official Airport Taxi

It is advisable to use the pre-paid airport taxi service. Ngurah Rai Airport Taxi is the only company who has the monopoly to bring the tourist out of the airport. It has a service counter in the airport which is located at the right after the exit door from the International Arrival Building. Sanur is about 20 minute taxi ride from the airport and a pre-paid coupon is a fixed flat rate.


 

 


Tourist Information for Bali

 

 

  • Taman Budaya / Art Center
    This building was established on 14th February 1973 and has function to arrange the art and cultural attraction and supported with open stages and main buildings for: dancing, painting exhibition, seminar, music as specially big event of Bali art Festival is held on the middle of June to July every year. It is located at Nusa Indah Street Denpasar.


  • Indonesia Art Institute / ISI
    This college, located at the northern boundary of The Bali Art Centre, was established in 1967. The college specializes itself in dancing, traditional music, traditional puppetry design, and fine arts. At this place younger generations are trained to become expert in arts. Its role significant which the organization of the annual Bali Arts Festival, and all activities are centred in this area.


  • Sanur Tourism Resort
    It is located 6 km from Denpasar city and only 20 minutes from Denpasar. It can be reached by public transportation or motorbike. Sanur beach was the first beach landed by the Dutch on 20 September 1906 related with Puputan War. All international facilities are available for tourist and communities such as: Star/non star hotel, restaurant, travel agency, etc. Beside this beach give many water sport attraction to people or tourist who want to enjoy the beach such as: diving, snorkeling, parasailing and etc.


  • Badung Market
    The Badung market is the biggest traditional market in Denpasar, located at Gajah Mada Street. This market receives a lot of visits from domestic and foreign visitor, therefore has been included as an object of attraction in City Tour programs. Daily household needs and handicrafts are available here. It is open daily, from early morning until late of right.

Climate

 

Bali has a tropical climate appropriate to its proximity to the equator. Year round temperatures averaging 31 degrees Celsius. High humidity can be expected during the Wet Season between the months of October - April. The Dry Season between the months of May-September have also the lowest humidity.
The Wet Season brings daily rain and quiet overcast days with the most rain recorded between December - February. Occasionally rainfall can also be expected during the dry season but usually at night or very early morning. June - August there is usually a very refreshing cool breeze all day long. The central mountain area is typically cooler than the lower coastal areas mainly especially at night.

  • And started per 28 May 2007, Indonesia will be added its Visa on Arrival (VOA) favors to more 11 countries joined with previous 52 other favored countries according to the Directorate General of Immigration recent released paper. The 11 countries are Algeria, the Czech Republic, Fiji, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Panama, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Tunisia.
  • Tourists from those selected countries will not oblige to apply abroad for a visa but can purchase a visa on arrival at 15 gates of Indonesia's international airports and seaports. The fee for this visa, payable upon landing, is US$10 for a 7 day visa and US$25 for a 30-day visa.
  • The official entry requirements for the issuance of a 30 or 7 days day visa-on arrival:
    Passport must be from one of the countries listed above.
    Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months from the date of entry into Indonesia.
    Payment of US$10 or US$25 must be paid at the gateway, depending on the length of visa required.
    Onward or return tickets are compulsory.
    Visitors must enter and exit through one of the 15 airports or 21 seaports officially approved as an "International Gateway" by the Indonesian Immigration department.
  • 11 countries and territories are eligible for a "Visa Free" facility. Those holding valid passports from the following countries will be granted a non-extendable 30-day Visa-Free Short Visit Permit upon arrival at an Indonesian international gateway without charge:
